Happy fall! It is amazing how quickly September passed us by; however we are all enjoying the cooler weather. The children and teachers have settled nicely into the new school year routine. October is looking even busier than September; please check our parent board in the entry way for quick updates. Our October menu and activity calendar will be placed there as well. Our menu and activity calendar can also be viewed on our school website at www.estelle.chesterbrookacademy.com.
Here are a few highlights for October:
Monday, October 5th, Lifetouch Portrait Day, please bring in backdrop selections
Monday, October 12th, Columbus Day, public school is closed, please tell the office as soon as
possible if your school ager will coming for a drop in day
Monday, October 19th, Kidsight Eye screening, please bring in permission slips
Friday, October 30th at 3:45 PM, Trick or Treating at AAA, bring costumes, parents are invited,
permission slips must be signed for child to attend
Parent teacher conferences will begin at the end of October, please watch for sign-up sheets by your child’s teacher. Here is a list for your convenience.

Please be aware that your Lil Sports payment increases in the month of October to $44.00 versus $40.00, if you have not submitted your check as of yet, please take note of the change.
During the week of October 19th, I will be attending the Annual Principal’s Conference in Las Vegas. Miss Lauren will be available to assist parents and oversee the school in my absence.
On Wednesday, October 21st, our classes will be participating in a pumpkin decorating contest. We are asking for some pumpkin donations. One per classroom, see sign-sheet by the sign in and out binder. We would like the pumpkins for Monday, October 19th, 2015. Decorated pumpkins will then be placed on a display table for all to see, parents will have the opportunity to vote on the best pumpkin in various categories. Watch for more details to come.
