Hello Chesterbrook Families,
Happy October! I cannot believe how quickly September flew by. Teachers and students have now gotten into the daily routines in the classrooms and we have seen so much progress & growth in our students already! We know there is so much more to come.
October is an exciting month here at Chesterbrook Academy! See below for some of the highlights:
Monday October 5-9: Scholastic Book Fair
October 13: Pre-K and KG field trip to Indian Acres
October 16: Pajama Day
October 19-23: Kasey at Principal’s Conference- Be sure to see Kelly with any questions, concerns or compliments during this time.
October 30: Halloween Celebrations- Parade @ 3pm, Trunk-or-Treat @ 3:15pm, Class parties @ 3:45pm
Our Trunk-or-Treat event was such a huge success last year, we want to do it again! If you would like to participate in our 2nd Annual CBA Trunk-or-Treat, please sign-up at the front desk. Participants should plan to arrive to set up between 2:00-2:15 and the parking lot will be blocked off after that time. Each participant will receive a space number and should anticipate providing treats for approximately 90 students.
Below are some general reminders:
- Wednesday November 11th: School Closed for Teacher Professional Development Day
- The flu shot is required for all students attending preschool in New Jersey. Students must have their flu shot by December 31, 2015. Students who do not have their flu shot by that time will not be able to attend school until they receive the flu shot, or April 1, 2016, whichever date is first.
- Please check your child’s cubby to be sure they have at least 1 full set of weather appropriate clothing.
- One month’s notice is required to withdrawal your child from Chesterbrook Academy or to reduce their schedule. This policy is outlined in the Preschool Tuition Agreement.
