Dear Chesterbrook Academy Families,
A leader is someone who demonstrates what’s possible – Mark Yarnell
Thank you for all of your warm welcomes, sincere hellos and kind words during my transition into this role as your new Principal. I know you have all grown to love Mrs. Christina and admire the tremendous amount of work she has done here. I have pretty big shoes to fill but I’m confident that together we can continue her progress. I begin my journey here with almost 17 years experience in Early Childhood Education. Prior to my 5 years as an Assistant Principal with Nobel I spent 11 years teaching infants through 3rd grade. Although I am a Maryland girl, I now reside in Brambleton where I have been the Assistant Principal for our location there for the past 3 years. I do not have any children of my own but I have a niece and nephew who are my world.
This month we have selected Mrs. Cindy Ribeiro as our Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Cindy has been with CBA since 2014 and has participated in the Early Childhood Education program through Fairfax County Public Schools. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work and enjoys working with people of all ages. Prior to working with Chesterbrook Academy Mrs. Cindy worked with seniors diagnosed with physical and mental disabilities. Her wide range of experiences is enhanced by her naturally sweet temperament and a genuine care for the entire CBA community. Thank you, Mrs. Cindy for continuing to be a valuable part of our CBA family.
Santa is coming to town! On Saturday, December 17th CBA will be hosting Breakfast with Santa. The children will be able to enjoy a pancake breakfast and take pictures with Santa. Pictures will be available to purchase for the low cost of $5.00 per picture. We will also have a snowman craft and face paint station for the children while they wait. For our parents, if you prefer not to take a picture with Santa, we will have representatives from Lularoe, Scentsy, and Paparazzi Jewelry.
Need help wrapping gifts? During our Breakfast with Santa, teachers will be available to wrap gifts for a small fee depending on size (small: $1, medium: $2, large: $3). All materials will be provided just bring your item(s).
