From the Principal’s Office
Happy March! We are feeling very lucky to be starting another wonderful month with everyone! We are very excited to begin planning for our summer camp, but before we rush too far ahead, we have a fun and exciting spring break camp planned! Check out the following dates to get a feel for the month ahead:
Dates
March 8th Unit 5 Late Start
March 9th Kindergarten Open House
March 14th Kindergarten Open House- Emerson Location
March 16th Kindergarten Open House- Regency Location
March 22nd Unit 5 Late Start
March 24th District 87 Half Day
March 25th General Enrollment Open House
March 27th– March 31st Spring Break Camp!
For Parents
We want to remind our parents that although spring is creeping in we will still be going outside (weather permitting) as long as the temperature is 32 degrees or above. We ask that everyone dress appropriately for the weather (coats, hats, gloves, socks, scarves) or at least have an extra pair of these items in their cubbies.
As always, we will continue to wash hands and practice responsible hygiene even more. We encourage parents to practice good hand washing habits at home with their children!
As the hustle and bustle of spring is quickly we approaching we want to remind parents about our Spring Break Camp for our School Age Friends! We will be posting our calendar for our week all about Mad Scientists!
If you would like to use vacation time for upcoming weeks, we remind parents that you are allotted one vacation week per year and to please let Christina or Vikki know the Friday before the week of the actual vacation.

Coming Up…
We have been so grateful to be able to have put on our Parent’s Night out Events the last couple of months and to show our gratitude to all of our staff who helps we wanted to wait until April to resume. Until then, we encourage all of our families to take this time to have a “family night out” or to do fun activities at home together!
Open House
This month is a very special month for our Kindergarten Open House on March 9th from 4:00PM until 5:30PM! We will be having an in-depth look at our Kindergarten program where you can meet our teacher and see the class. To view the flyer and to receive exclusive savings please click the following link! If you cannot make that date, we will be having two other Kindergarten open houses at our Emerson location on March 14th and our Regency location on March 16th at the same times.
Our Open House will be March 25th from 10:00AM until 1:00PM. Appointments can be made for tours, otherwise all tours are walk in and we encourage everyone to come! We will be offering an in-depth look at the different classes we offer.
School Highlights
From our Toddler Classroom:
Our book of the month is “Hooray For Hat!” We will be focusing on our skills for putting on different types of outdoor clothes (hats, shoes, mittens) and will practice zipping coats! To work on our large motor skills we will be throwing a ball outside and trying to catch it.
From our Intermediate Classrooms:
What a busy month of February! We are very excited to learn about “Things That Go” and learn all about transportation. We will begin to work on compound words as a group and for Spanish we will talk about weather!
