Note from the Principal
During the month of March our students focused on a few of our favorite authors and their literature! As we move into April, we will be focusing on the Solar System and the Earth. Through our literature focus, our students will learn about the Solar System, different types of weather, going green and Earth Day. Leading up to our Earth Day celebration on April 21st, our students will learn about what it means to go green and take care of the Earth by planting flowers, releasing ladybugs and butterflies, building STEAM projects using recycled materials, and participating in a playground and neighborhood cleanup.
During the week of April 24th to April 28th, we will celebrate the Week of the Young Child. Each day we will celebrate with a different theme and event throughout our school to focus on our young learners here at CBA. We will also have a Spirit Week during this week and will finish the week with one of our favorite events, our Week of the Young Child Family BBQ on Friday, April 28th, at 4 pm.
We have postponed our St. Jude’s Trike-A-Thon from Friday, April 14th, to Friday, May 5th. We will be sending home packets by April 7th with more information on this event.
I hope that everyone enjoys the exciting and busy month we have planned here at Chesterbrook Academy at Great Falls Plaza. Please see either myself or Ms. Diana with any questions you may have.
Kindly,
Kirstin Baker
