The holiday season is upon us. Please, let the office know of any travel plans or vacations that you have planned. Remember you get one week’s vacation credit per year. Otherwise, you are required to pay tuition regardless of attendance. We have several different holidays that are represented here at Chesterbrook Academy. We would like to include all families traditions with the children. Please, let your child’s teacher know your family traditions so that we can share with your child’s classroom.
We will be hosting a blood drive in January for all that are interested. The Blood Drive will be on January 17th from 3-7:30pm. They will be providing incentives for anyone who gives blood. It’s a great way in order to spend a few minutes and save several lives! Posters and flyers will be going out on how to sign up!
Parents, please, make sure your child has a weather appropriate change of clothes in their cubby daily. Some children may need more than one if they are still working on potty training. Even in the pre-k classes children occasionally get messy, dirty, wet, or still have a toileting accident. We do not have any spare clothing at the school so it is imperative that you maintain a change of clothing for your child in order to make sure that they are prepared.
Chesterbrook Academy will be closed on Monday, December 25th and Monday, January 1st.
Tuition is due on the Friday before the week of attendance. If tuition is behind your child will not be permitted to attend. Remember we accept cash, money order, check, auto-deduction at no extra cost to you and we do accept debit/credit cards with the VISA, MasterCard and Discover logos but there is an additional 3% fee for using a card. WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS!!!!
We will be having Ugly Sweater Day on Wednesday, December 20th. Please, dress your child up in the ugliest sweater that you can find. We would love to see every child in the school participate. We are asking that each family send in a wrapped book or two for our book exchange. The book does not need to be new but needs to be in good condition. Santa will be coming on Wednesday, December 20th to pass the books out to each child. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this activity, PLEASE, let the office know. We would like every child to be able to receive a book so bring in those books!!!!!!!! We will be having a Polar Express day on Friday, December 22nd. The children can come in their pajamas and we will watch Polar Express and have (NOT SO HOT) chocolate. All children are welcome to come in their PJs.
