From the Principal’s Office
It’s hard to believe we are already entering the month of March! We have had a very busy first few months of 2018, including Parent Reports being distributed, conducting the Parent Survey, and some extra special celebrations, such as Dr. Seuss week!
We expect the month of March to be a busy one as well! Be on the lookout for registration for both summer camp and the upcoming school year. We will also be conducting our annual audit of the children’s files in the upcoming months, as required by DCFS. During that time, we will be sending out notices if your child has any missing paperwork or anything that needs updated!
As we finally start to see some warmer weather, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor play. When the weather is nice, our classes love to get their Gross Motor time outside! Also, please be sure your child has a complete change of clothes in their cubby box.
Until next month,
Vikki & Tracy

Kindergarten registration is quickly approaching! Both Unit 5 and District 87 have upcoming dates for registration, so please be sure to check the school calendars! We do offer a Private Kindergarten program, which is particularly great for students that may miss the birthday deadline for public schools. We will be hosting several Kindergarten Open Houses during the month of March at our various locations in Bloomington/Normal. Please see the schedule below:
Tuesday, March 6th 3:30 – 5:30 PM Williamsburg
Tuesday, March 13th 3:30 – 5:30 PM Regency
Tuesday, March 20th 3:30 – 5:30 PM Emerson
For Parents
LifeTouch picture orders and money will be due Wednesday, March 14th. Please have any envelopes with payments turned in at the front desk or any online orders completed by that date to ensure on time delivery. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or send us an email!
We still have several openings in some of our classes and would love your help in filling them! You can help by referring friends and family who may be looking for a wonderful preschool experience, such as Chesterbrook Academy. If you do refer a family, your family could earn a free week of tuition for every family that enrolls, which will be applied after three months of enrollment.
Reminders
As a reminder, no outside food is allowed to be brought into the school unless accompanied by a doctor’s note due to several food allergies in our school. If you do provide a doctor’s note a bring in outside food, please make sure it is free of any peanut and tree nut products.
If your child requires medication of any kind, please drop it off at the front desk so it may be locked up per DCFS regulations. We also have a medication sign-up sheet at the front desk if we need to distribute medication to your child during the school day.
We would like to thank families that have been bringing in box tops and encourage your additional support! Having greater amounts of box tops allows us to purchase more supplies for our classrooms. Simply bring the box tops in and drop them off with Mrs. Mizell in the Kindergarten room or at the front desk!
