What a fantastic July! Although we have had some rainy days, we have managed to enjoy a few splash days this month. We had a visit from the ice cream truck and the Lancaster Police Department brought one of their horses. Our infants have been busy exploring the outdoor world around them, while our toddler students are loving their special activities with school age each week. Our Pre-K students are studying the ocean and supporting their peers who are transitioning to kindergarten.
We can hardly believe that summer is almost over and school is right around the corner. We are so excited to begin our new school year! This month is even more exciting for our program because we will have the opportunity to roll out our new Chesterbrook Links to Learning curriculum and Tadpoles, our communication program for families. Our teacher planning group is also deep in planning for our Whitney’s Warriors Carnival, which will be in September. September is going to be busy!
We welcomed 2 new teachers to our team this month. Miss Kim and Miss Yanela have been supporting all of our classrooms in floater roles. We are so lucky to have them join our already amazing team. Over the next month we will begin the transition process for some of our children moving to the next stage of their development. If you have a child that will be transitioning you will be receiving information in regards to a intake meeting with the teacher and details for transition.
- Please remember to provide the office with documentation of your projected last day for families who will be transitioning to kindergarten or making other plans for the 2018-2019 school year.
- CACFP paperwork will be distributed this month. Please be sure you complete and return to the office in a timely manner.
- Please be sure that your child has an updated outfit in their cubby for the season that we are in as well as shoes.
We hope everyone has a wonderful month of August!
