New Additions to Our Administrative Team

As we begin to transition out of our exciting summer season and into September, I am so very excited to announce the lineup for our 2018-2019 school administration team.

Joining our school as Assistant Principal will be Susan (Sue) Varallo. Miss Sue will be transferring to our school from our sister location, Chesterbrook Academy of Moorestown, NJ, where she has been working as Assistant Principal since February 2014. Miss Sue has over 30 years of experience working with young children and their families. She started her career as a Special Education Teacher in Erie, PA, working with children ages 6-11. Later, Sue developed a passion for the early childhood ages as she worked for 10 years as a Lead Teacher in various licensed preschools through PA and NJ, supporting children aged 0-5 years old. In 2007, Miss Sue took on a Director position for Weekday Preschool in Pitman, NJ before joining our Moorestown location in 2014. In addition to the wealth of knowledge and experience that she will bring to our school, Sue holds her B.S. in Elementary Education from Edinboro University and is a mother to three children of her own, each of which is now in college. Miss Sue will begin her transition to our location next week on a part-time basis, and will officially join us full-time starting September 4th, 2018.

Also supporting our school as our Curriculum Facilitator will be Ronni Corcoran. Miss Ronni is no stranger to the Chesterbrook community, as she has previously worked as a Beginner and Pre-K Teacher at both our Moorestown, NJ and Center City sister schools from 2008 through 2017. In the past year, Ronni took on a contracted teaching role as a Pre-K teacher at a private elementary school in New Jersey before realizing that her heart remained with Chesterbrook. In addition to her teaching experience, Miss Ronni holds her B.A. in Elementary Education and English from Drexel University and is a mother to three children of her own, who are currently in high school and college. Ronni has a strong understanding of our Links to Learning curriculum and will support our teaching staff with the rich implementation of our program as we move towards accreditation with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Miss Ronni will join our team full-time starting August 20th, 2018.

Of course, I will also continue to be here to support as your Principal as we move into our second school year, and I couldn’t be more excited to lead our amazing community with these ladies by my side! For those families who may be newer to our school, my name is Chloe Glenn and I have been a Preschool Principal with our parent company, Nobel Learning Communities, for 5 years. I previously supported our Moorestown, NJ school from 2013-2014 (with both Sue & Ronni on my team!) and our Center City school from 2014-2017, before launching the opening of CBA Drexel last summer. Before joining Chesterbrook, I worked for 6 years as a Lead Teacher at Under the Sun Learning Center in Marlton, NJ, supporting classes of children ages 0-5 years in age. In addition to my preschool-based work experience, I hold my B.S. in Marketing and Media Studies from Rutgers University and supported business operations for various entities in the film/music industry before settling into a career in early childhood education. I am wildly passionate for coordinating and managing all of the ‘behind-the-scenes’ efforts that shape your experience with our school, and could not be happier to have a job that makes each day so positive and enjoyable. More than anything, I hope that shines through in everything we do!

Sue, Ronni, and I are thrilled to work with each of you in the coming year, and openly welcome all of your feedback so that we can continue to make Chesterbrook Academy at Drexel University a place where you are proud to send your child. We will each be available at staggered schedules throughout the week, with at least one administrator available on-site from 7:30am through 7:00pm daily.

We welcome you to stop by next Monday afternoon/evening to formally meet Miss Sue and Miss Ronni during pick-up times. Miss Sue will be available from 4:00-7:00pm, while Miss Ronni will be available through 5:00pm. On behalf of our entire CBA Drexel team, we absolutely cannot wait to welcome both of them!

As always, please let me know if you have any questions about our school or these upcoming changes to our administrative team. We are ALWAYS here to support you and thank you kindly for your ongoing support of Chesterbrook Academy at Drexel University!

Kind regards,

Chloe Glenn
Principal
