September News

From the Principal’s Desk…

September is here and all of our children have transitioned into their new classrooms and are making friends, exploring and learning new routines and skills. This is the time where we start to create individualized plans based on the observations and all the getting to know you activities the teachers have engaged our children in. Our enrichment programs start this month and the children will start to engage in Storytime Soccer on Mondays, Yoga with Mrs. Nipa on Tuesdays, Music, Movement and Drama on Wednesdays, Gymnastics on Thursday and Dance on Fridays. The children will also start to make visits to our center court for Technology and to our Garden. Giving our children a variety of experiences to ignite the love of Science, Language, Math, Social Studies, & the Arts is what our curriculum, Links to Learning does through creating activities both in small group and large group instruction and through our environment! Setting up centers to allow our children the material, the space and the support to learn is how we provide the perfect balance between learning and play!

Please take a look at our activities outlined below in our calendar of events and I look forward to a successful school year come this fall!

 Principal’s Vision:

My vision for my school, my enrolled children and families and teachers is to experience early childhood education on an infinite level of opportunities. I want every teacher to feel fully part of the process and I want them to introduce their children not only to our accreditation enriched curriculum but the things that their most passionate about. For my currently enrolled families I want them to feel connected. Fully connected to their child’s school through consistent communication, a variety of activities and events to build their relationship with their child, the school community and teachers. For the children that parents entrust us with, I want them to explore and build the joy of learning. I want them to laugh…out loud and feel love, nurture and care. I want to build their self esteem, give them confidence that all things are possible if you believe and to expose them to so many different concepts, skills and languages that sparks their interest and opens a new pathway to developing who they are as a student, a citizen of the world and a human being. I want them to be kind, disciplined and free spirited and I want them to make connections every day to the outside world. I want them to be themselves and know that being your authentic self makes you amazing!

All Natural All Organic Lunch Program
Yummy In My Tummy offers fresh, wholesome, and nutritious food that provides a healthy start, tastes great and is made to order. The children are offered organic and natural ingredients with “hidden”puree of fruits and vegetables. School lunches should be HEALTHY & YUMMY!

Sick Policy
The purpose of our sick policy is to reduce the spread of illness among children and to encourage full recuperation of sick children before they return to school. We depend on parents to assist us in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our children.

We are Peanut/Nut FREE.
Please remember that due to the large number of students with peanut allergies, we are asking your help to keep the school peanut free.

Please pack healthy SNACKS!

As a reminder we currently are not offering a AM/PM snack program for children. We recommend families to pack a balanced AM snack and a healthy PM snack for your children. If your child will be with us after 5 PM we recommend packing a 5 o’clock light snack for your child. If you have questions regarding snacks, or would like recommendations and suggestions on what to pack please see us in the front office.
