Dear Parents,
October was a fun and busy month! Our Pre-K students went on their first field trip to the pumpkin patch and were so excited to ride in an official school bus. All classrooms created fun seasonal projects, carved and decorated pumpkins for Pumpkin decorating contest. We learned about fire safety from Pembroke Pines Fire Station, enjoyed our school Book Parade, and parties.
Thank you to the parents that dropped off food for our “Canned Food Drive” with the city of Pembroke Pines. We sure have a lot to be thankful for this year, so along with giving, the children will learn the meaning of giving through theme related activities. in the classrooms.
Remember We have our Open House (10 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) on November 10th as well as our Trunk Fall Festival (11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.). We will have lots of fun activities, trunk or treating, and cooking activities. Please join us to volunteer or just to have fun. Invite the family and the neighbors. We have our schedule for fun Winter Camp for all our alumni or older siblings. It starts from December 24th to January 7th. If you need the schedule, please see the front desk for information. We have a lot of fun activities available.
Our teachers are enthusiastic about developing lifelong learners. They genuinely care about children and have the sensitivity and knowledge to understand a child’s individual developmental needs and learning styles. They take the time to help each child discover, in his or her way, a fascinating world of learning and play.
We help our teachers keep current with the latest techniques by sponsoring professional development where internal and external trainers and consultants lead our workshops. Each staff member is required by the state of Florida to accomplish ten or more hours of training each year. Chesterbrook Academy closes its doors twice a year for professional development. We chose Veteran’s Day, 11/12 and President’s Day 2/18 as our training days because public schools, banks, and government offices being closed; therefore closing would negatively affect fewer families. We look forward to sharing learning experiences with other dedicated Chesterbrook Academy teachers in Florida and appreciate your support as we empower our teachers to meet the needs of your children better.
