January 2019 News

Happy New Year to all!  Thank you all for your beautiful words and wonderful gifts this holiday season.  We are all so grateful for everything.  The thing we are most grateful for is you sharing your child with us each and every day, and allowing us to be a part of their early growth and development.  The love and hugs that we receive from your children daily are enough of a gift. We hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday season! The school year will be back in full swing on January 8th.  We are looking forward to all the wonderful new learning experiences that we will be going to experience this year.

As you can see we have been undergoing small cosmetic improvements as well as some major much needed maintenance. We have also received quotes for some bigger cosmetic improvements which will hopefully be taking place shortly!  Keep your fingers crossed. Thank you for all your help and patience during these processes.  We are so excited for all the wonderful improvements that have occurred and ones that will be occurring in the near future.  Any suggestions that you have are always welcome.

We will continue to offer ice cream on Fridays.  You can pay the office in advance for $2 per week.  You can prepay for several weeks.

On January 23rd we will be hosting a blood drive in partnership with One Blood from 2:30pm-7:00pm.  If you can, please, plan on donating! You can sign up online ahead of time!

We will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, January 26th.  This is for new families to look into the school and get information.  If you know anyone interested, you can let them know about this date.  Remember that any family that you refer who registers and stays enrolled for 90 days will earn you a free week tuition for full time enrollments or $100 off a week for part time enrollments.  Get those referrals out!  Make sure that the family states your name during the tour.

For all intermediate parents with children eligible to go to vpk, information about the upcoming VPK school year and registration information will be going out this month.  The Early Learning Coalition will start accepting applications for VPK certificates shortly for the 2019-2020 school year.

We close at 6:15pm.  If you are not here by 6:15pm you will incur a late pick up charge as defined in your contract.  Please, make every effort to pick up on time.  Chronic late pick ups are not permitted.

SICK_FACE

SICK POLICY REMINDER:

The purpose of our sick policy is to reduce the spread of illness among our students and to encourage full recuperation of sick children before they return to school.  We depend on parents to assist us in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our children.

Sick Policy:
Children may be sent home if they have any concerning symptoms. In addition, a child must be free of all of these symptoms for at least 24 hours before he/she can return to school. These symptoms include:
  •  A Fever of 101 degrees or more
  • Vomiting within the previous 24-hour period
  • Diarrhea within the previous 24-hour period
  • Symptoms of a communicable disease
  • Fussy, cranky behavior and generally not himself/ herself

Following an illness, a child may return to school once he/she has either been seen by a doctor or it has been determined that illness is not contagious. (A doctor’s clearance may be requested.) Please help us keep all of our children healthy by following these rules. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know. Thank you for your support!

  • Drop-off is not the time to chat with your child’s teacher. Please schedule a specific time to meet if you would like to discuss your child’s progress or any concerns you may have.
  • VPK dismissal is at 12:00 pm SHARP! Please be sure to pick up your child within 5 minutes of dismissal time.
