From The Desk of The Principal
Happy March, with the days getting longer and Springtime just around the corner we leap into March with a renewed sense of excitement! We gladly welcome sunny days and fun filled activities outdoors! Keep an eye out for signs of Spring in our building, and spring inspired treats for all.
This month we will discuss Rainbows, leprechaun, and all the magic within the month.! We will learn how rainbows form, begin learning more about the weather in our discussions about rain, and the color spectrum. We will introduce and explore many wonderful books, enjoy creative expression, and discovery based science along the way. We have songs like “Rain , Rain Go Away”, “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring”, “The Rainbow Connection” and m many more. Some of our fun activities will include crafting rain sticks to utilize during music and movement, and creations of our very own clouds and rainbows, the sky’s the limit this month!
Now let’s see if March in fact comes in like a lion and out like a lamb!
As always, it is an honor to work with and watch your children grow. Thank you for choosing our school for your family.
Sincerely,
Tracy Anderson
Principal

Reminders
Do you have a Vacation break planned during the Spring? Please let the front office know if you are planning on using your vacation time this month. Keep in mind a vacation credit can be used only once a year, and has to be five consecutive days. Your child must be in attendance for 6 consecutive months to qualify for this credit to be applied. If you have any questions about vacation or vacation credits, please reference your Parent Handbook, or stop by the office. Vacation Request Forms are hanging in the folders on the office door. Please fill out and return to the office prior to your vacation, and to be sure if available a credit is applied.
Cold Weather Reminders
Our students love to play on the playground and we go outside every day (weather permitting). We ask that all children have the proper attire for outdoor ply, as we plan to be outside daily. Please make sure your child also has seasonally appropriate changes of clothes in their cubby in case they have an accident.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and cooperation during the recent times of inclement weather. The decision to open late, close early, or close the school for the day in bad weather is never an easy one. Careful consideration is given to the affect this decision will have on the families we serve. We know that you depend on us to be available. Our goal is to remain open whenever possible, but to also consider the safety of you our families and our staff. Keep in mind all weather related alerts will be on 6BC, and NBC10. We will also send a Tadpoles text alert and email to all of our families.
