From the Office of the Principal
Has everyone had enough rain in the month of February?? Hopefully March ends up being a dryer month, we did have a great February. Groundhog Day was Saturday, February 2, and throughout the week before the children learned all about the how the groundhog peeks out from his hole to determine if winter will continue… and of course, he predicted an early spring! The children enjoyed their individual classroom Valentine’s Day parties, and a big thanks to all parents who brought in food, goodies, and valentines for their child’s class. We are happy to report that our teachers enjoyed our Professional Development Day on Monday, February 18 and learned a lot!
We look forward to March as well! We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Friday, March 1 and Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) on Tuesday, March 5! Don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time begins on Saturday night, March 9/Sunday morning, March 10, so make sure to turn your clocks forward an hour during that weekend. Sunday, March 17 will mark St. Patrick’s Day, which means that all St. Patrick’s Day classroom celebrations will be the afternoon of Friday, March 15. We will hold our Dino-Mite Spring Book Fair during the week of March 18-22, and books will be for sale all week long. On Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20, we will be have Lifetouch Preschool Portraits here to take pictures. On March 19, we will have Infant, Toddler, and Beginner individual portraits taken, along with siblings and those students’ class pictures on this day as well. On March 20, we will have Intermediate, PreK, and PreK2 individual portraits taken, along with these students’ class pictures. Our graduates who will be going to Kindergarten in the fall will be taking cap and gown pictures. Please look out for the posters at the front desk to see when your child will take pictures. Don’t forget that the first day of Spring is Wednesday, March 20 as well. We will be holding an Open House for all prospective families on Saturday, March 23 from 10 am to 1 pm. And remember, when you tell other parents about our school, you will receive one FREE week of tuition for your child for every child you refer to Chesterbrook Academy. Finally, on the last day of the month, Friday, March 29, Links to Learning folders go home with your month at a glance, monthly snapshot, Spanish poster (for 2-5 year olds), and samples of your child’s work.
We also want to mention that our Priority Registration for all current families will start during the month of March as well. We are waiting on new Fee Schedules for the 2019-2020 school year, and once the Priority Registration period starts, we will let everyone know. Everyone will receive a packet once Priority Registration starts, which will include the new tuition rates that will go into effect in July, Application, and Tuition Agreement. Registration fees can be through Automatic Draft or through ALMA. If you would like your registration fee to be drafted, just let us know.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.

Chesterbrook Academy Parent Referral Program
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements.
For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. If you have any questions about how you can participate in our Parent Referral Program, please contact an administrator.
