The summer is in full swing!! We are enjoying our water play days. Please, remember to send your child with a bathing suit, sunscreen applied, a towel, water shoes, and a change of clothes all labeled on Fridays.
Don’t forget that the tuition increase will go into effect on July 1, 2019. The new rate sheets were sent out back when you re-registered. If you have any questions on what your child’s new rate is see the front office at any time.
We will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day.
We will be having a magic show on Wednesday, July 17th and the Planetarium will be coming to visit us on Tuesday, July 30th.
The week of July 28th will be our Career Week. If you would like to volunteer to talk to our Kindergarten Kickoff and our soon to be VPK children during this week, please let us know ASAP what day/time works for you and we will add you to our schedule.
We will be having an Open House on Saturday, August 3rd from 10am until 1pm. We will have our VPK information session/orientation on this day as well. If your child will be attending VPK please plan on attending this day in order to get the opportunity to find out about VPK attendance policy and rules and regulations governing the VPK program.
This month’s Wacky Wednesday will be 80s rock bands/hair bands. We will be having Wacky Wednesday on Wednesday, July 24th.
Starting this Fall Beginners will be required to wear uniforms. The uniforms will be the same as last year with the Chesterbrook Logo polos and khaki pants, skirts, shorts, or jumpers. Closed toed shoes for children of all ages.
Tuition is due on the Friday before the week of attendance. If tuition is behind your child will not be permitted to attend. Remember we accept cash, money order, check, auto-deduction at no extra cost to you and we do accept debit/credit cards with the VISA, MasterCard and Discover logos but there is an additional 3% fee for using a card. WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS!!!!
Ice Cream Day will be every Friday throughout the summer. If you would like your child to have an ice cream it’s $2 per child. You can pay in advance for the whole summer or pay each week. It’s a nice cool treat for the children to be able to cool off!!!
Remember if your child is going to be in VPK you will need to turn in your VPK certificate if you have not already done so. You can register by going to www.elcbroward.org. We are offering Amazing Athletes on Mondays. Amazing Athletes is a sports program that encompasses 9 different sports and character development. They also teach good nutrition choices. Amazing Athletes is $55 per month. To sign up see the front office.
On Wednesdays, we will continue our dance program. They are exposed to jazz, hip-hop and ballet style of dance. At the end of the school year there is an optional recital at additional cost that your child can choose to be a part of. Dance is offered through Dance Through The Ages. Dance is $50 per month. You can sign up for dance through the front office.
We offer My Little Yogi, our yoga program on Thursday afternoons. You can get more information in the front office about the yoga program.
We plan on offering Soccer again. We did not get enough enrollments for the summer soccer session so we are planning on taking a hiatus for summer and will reintroduce the soccer program in the fall.
Please let us know if there are any programs that you would like to see and we will do our best to get them set up!!!

SICK POLICY REMINDER:
The purpose of our sick policy is to reduce the spread of illness among our students and to encourage full recuperation of sick children before they return to school. We depend on parents to assist us in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our children.
Sick Policy:
Children may be sent home if they have any concerning symptoms. In addition, a child must be free of all of these symptoms for at least 24 hours before he/she can return to school. These symptoms include:
• A Fever of 100 degrees or more
•Vomiting within the previous 24-hour period
•Diarrhea within the previous 24-hour period
•Symptoms of a communicable disease
•Fussy, cranky behavior and generally not himself/ herself
Following an illness, a child may return to school once he/she has either been seen by a doctor or it has been determined that illness is not contagious. (A doctor’s clearance may be requested.) Please help us keep all of our children healthy by following these rules. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know. Thank you for your support!

As we embark on a new school year, it is imperative that we review VPK policies.
•Per State requirements, VPK student attendance is mandatory. Absences will require a doctor’s note. Children who are not attending on a regular basis may be subject to dis-enrollment. Our program is in demand. We currently have a waiting list for students wanting to attend VPK at Chesterbrook Academy.
•VPK classes are required to begin at 9:30 nam SHARP! VPK instruction is only 3 hours a day and teachers need to start their daily routines on time. Please be sure to have your child ready to join the class a few minutes before the day begins.
•Drop-off is not the time to chat with your child’s teacher. Please schedule a specific time to meet if you would like to discuss your child’s progress or any concerns you may have.
•VPK dismissal is at 12:30 pm SHARP! Please be sure to pick up your child within 5 minutes of dismissal time. Instruction must resume for full-time students and teachers need to follow their daily schedule directly following VPK. Chronic late pick-ups are subject to late fees and or dis-enrollment.

TUITION:
We have seen a recent increase in families missing tuition payment deadlines. We really must collect tuition in a timely manner to meet our financial obligations. Please remember that tuition is due the 1st business day of every week. Accounts not paid in full by 12:00pm the second business day of every week are subject to late fees. If tuition is not paid in full your child may not attend until the balance is paid in full. Failure to comply with tuition policies will result in a notice of dis-enrollment. If you’d like to sign up for our ACH program, which automatically pulls your weekly tuition from the account of your choice the 1st business day of every week, just let us know and we will get you signed up.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FEES:
If your child is signed up to attend a specific enrichment program, the monthly fee must be paid in full the first week of every month or your child may not attend the second week. Please understand, we are obligated to pay our physical fitness vendors in a timely manner for their services. Credits will not be issued for missed classes due to absence or non-payment.
CATERED LUNCH PROGRAM
ADVANCE ORDERING REQUIRED
Monthly lunch order forms are available two weeks prior to each new month. Please be sure to turn your lunch order in with payment no later than the posted deadline. Late orders may not be honored. Pizza Friday orders for the entire month must also be turned in by the deadline.
