From the Principal’s Office
Summer has come to an end and another school year is upon us. We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new families and a sincere thank you to our returning families. We recognize this is a busy time for many families and are using this month’s school newsletter to include reminders on school closures, upcoming events and more. Please read through this newsletter carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
We are very excited to announce that we are now NAEYC Accredited. This stands for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our teachers worked long and hard to prepare for our visit with NAEYC and I am so proud of everything they have done and will continue to do in their classrooms.
We have some new staff with us to start this year off and as of Oct. 7th all of our staff that have been on maternity leave will be back as well. As always we encourage open lines of communication, please be sure to check your child’s cubby box as well as your email and Links to Home for any important announcements. If you even have any questions about what is happening around the school please stop by the office or give us a call. Please make sure your contact information we have on file is correct so you receive these reminders.
Our fall picture days scheduled for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. We will have two photographers on site both days to take individual and sibling pictures. The photographers will arrive early to get set up to begin taking pictures about 7:30am and will end each day around 11am. On Monday, Sept. 30th Infant 1 and 2, Beginner and Pre-K classes will get their pictures taken. On Tuesday, Oct. 1st Infant 3, Toddlers and Intermediate will get theirs done. Flyers have gone out for you to make your background selections and return on picture day.
Please be sure you are signing your child in and out each day using the dedicated ipad at the front desk. You should sign in when you come into the building and out after you have collected your child from their classroom. If you do not have a PIN to use when signing in and out please see me and I can get that set up for you.
With the shift from summer to fall, now would be the perfect time to go through your child’s cubby and clear our the miscellaneous papers that have collected and to make sure there is a change of clothes.
