From the Principal’s Office
Happy New Year to everyone! The holiday season has flown by and now it is time to get back to school. Year end statements for 2019 tax year are available upon request. Please let Heidi or Rachel know and they can print them out for you or email them to you.
We have been lucky with the weather so far, but just in case we have some bad weather, school closing will be announced on WCIA channel 3, WIXY 100.3, 94.5, 92.5, 99.1, 97.9 and we will send a message out through links to home. School closings will be announced as soon as possible but no later than 6:30am. We will always try to stay open, but will keep everyone’s safety as our number one priority.
Please be sure to bring in a change of clothes for your child’s cubby. The children prefer to change into their own clothes when they have an accident and sometimes we do not have extra their size, so please check to see if there is one or two available for them.
Our next Professional Development Day is scheduled for Feb. 17th. The school will be closed that day so the teachers can participate in workshops and trainings.
Valentine’s Day parties will be Friday, Feb. 14th. The classrooms will have sign up sheets for parents to sign up to bring treats. Please remember store bought items and peanut free. Your child can also bring valentine cards for their friends. The envelopes can be labeled or blank, the teacher can provide a list of first names.
The second set of parent reports will be completed and sent out at the end of Feb. We will not have parent teacher conferences this time, they will be offered again in May with the final reports for the year.
Have a great month,
Heidi and Rachel
