A Note From Our Principal
The year is off to a great start so far and we’re enjoying spending the winter season with you and your children. This time of year our students spend extra time participating in our SPARK physical fitness program, ensuring that they are able to work on their gross motor skills no matter the weather. We’re having a great time jumping, dancing and playing together!
We also want to remind you that is time to start thinking about your plans for the 2020-2021 School Year. We will be hosting a 2020-2021 School Year Open House from 5 pm to 6 pm for all families. On March 9th, we will be launching our Priority Enrollment for the upcoming year. Have a wonderful month and Happy Valentine’s Day!
Sincerely,
Kirstin Thorpe
Priority Enrollment for Summer Camp 2020 and 2020-2021 School Year
Our Summer Camp Priority Enrollment for our currently enrolled students and their siblings will be running from February 3 to February 21. This is your opportunity to reserve your child’s space in our camp programs prior to us opening it up to public. Packets have been sent home as of Friday, January 31, and additional copies are available in the office.
Are you planning on re-enrolling for the next school year? We hope so! Our Priority Enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year will be kicking off on March 9 and will run until March 21. More information will be released closer to the date. Our management team is available to address any questions or concerns you have.
Inclement Weather Reminders
We do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools because we don’t have to contend with the same transportation issues as public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close because our teachers cannot safely get to work, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website and Facebook page.
Winter Clothing Reminder
If you’ve not already done so, please check your child’s cubby to ensure they have an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warm enough to play outside for part of the day. If the weather is brisk we still go outside for active games and SPARK activities and want everyone to be able to participate!

Our school does not follow the local elementary school schedule as we are open more days per year. For the 2019-2020 school year the days we are closed are:

Links 2 Home
If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type ‘Links 2 Home’ in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading Links 2 Home you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school. Links 2 Home also allows you to leave drop-off notes for your child and notify your child’s teacher of absences. If you’re having issues accessing Links 2 Home please let us know.
Illness Policy Reminder
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. Children may not attend school until they have been symptom free for 24 hours if they display any of the following:
- Fever of 100 degrees of more—must be fever free for 24 hours with no fever-reducing medicine before returning to school
- Vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset
- Heavy nasal discharge requiring wiping every 3-5 minutes
- Persistent, non-productive or barking cough
- Sore throat
- Skin rash, including diaper rash
- Head lice
- Symptoms of a communicable disease
- Fussy, cranky behavior unlike child’s normal demeanor that may indicate illness
