From the Principal’s Office
It is hard to believe we are starting the third month of the year already! The children had a great time with their Valentine’s Day parties! Thank you to all the parents who helped with the parties or were able to attend! We also had successful picture days, and everyone should have received their proof envelopes to either return with payment and order or to order online. If you have any questions about placing your order, please be sure to let us know.
The second Parent Report of the school year will be distributed soon and they reflect lots of growth for the children. We will see the children succeeding even more over the next few months. It is always exciting and rewarding to see a child experience success at a skill that was just beginning to develop a short time ago! We will offer Parent/Teacher conferences once the Parent Reports have been distributed.
Our Early Bird registration will be March 9-21 for the 2020-2021 school year. We charge every child who will attend next school year a registration fee to secure their spot. As a thank you to our current families for their continued enrollment, we are offering 50% off our normal registration fees. Instead of paying $80 for the first child and $60 for each additional child, the reduced fees are $40 and $30 respectively. In order to take advantage of the savings, the registration form and fees must be turned in prior to March 21st. Please watch your child’s cubby for the registration form.
We have started our preliminary planning for summer camp for the children. Once everything has been okayed and we have the details, we will get information to you about summer camp fees. Calendars and supply lists will be distributed closer to the start of Summer Camp. Be sure to be on the lookout for information in the cubbies and at the front desk.
Our marketing department recently sent an email to our families which contained a link for our annual parent survey. The email was sent by SMG Research and signed by Consumer Research Department at Spring Education. Please be sure to check your junk folder if the email did not deliver to your inbox. Let us know if you have not received the survey link, and we will request it be resent to you. We would really appreciate if you completed the survey for us. The more surveys completed; the more accurate the results are for us. Feedback from the annual surveys is what steers implementation of policies and practices. Thank you for your help with this matter!
Until next month, Shawna

For Parents and Teachers
Daylight savings time begins on March 8th with the clocks all moving ahead an hour! Everyone enjoys having the evenings feel longer due to staying light longer. The time change also signals that spring and warmer weather is right around the corner which I know everyone is anticipating!
The approaching change of season means an increased possibility of outdoor play! Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside play each day. The mornings may indicate the need for hats and gloves, but the afternoons may be warm enough not to need them. We monitor the weather daily and do go out if the “feels like” temperature is 32⁰ or higher. The children do not stay out as long at a time when the temperature is closer to 32⁰ but they do go out.
For Parents
Families who make their weekly tuition payments through our automatic payment program (ACH) can pay for their registration fees this way also. This feature only works for the families who already have ACH set up on their accounts. Please indicate on your registration form you would like to use ACH to pay for your fees, and we will invoice your account so the ACH will draw. Payments will be drawn from your bank account early on the Tuesday following the invoice. Otherwise, registration payments can be made by check, cash or credit card charge. If you have any questions about registration payments, please stop by the office or email us.
We can print or email 2019 statements to any parents who are still in need of theirs to complete taxes. The statements provide the total paid for childcare for the year, our address and federal tax identification number. When requesting your statement, please give us some advance notice, we aren’t always in front of the computer and able to print and email it right away.
Heading out of town for Spring Break? Be sure to let us know if you would like to use your vacation credit for the week. Families earn one week of free tuition per year and are eligible after six months of enrollment.
Reminders
- The children will be going outside more as the weather warms up…please make sure they are dressed for outside play.
- We encourage parents not to allow their children to bring outside food into the building except for special events. We have children with severe food allergies and we don’t want to experience an emergency because of an accidently allergic reaction.
- Parents wishing to use their vacation credit for Spring Break…Please be sure to let us know so we can apply the credit to your account.
