Dear Families,
This has been a very short summer! Back to School is right around the corner! Hempfield’s first day of school is August 25th. Chesterbrook’s first official day of 2020-21 school year begins on August 31st. We are so excited to transition children into their new classrooms and experience a wonderful new school year. Transition week for our promoting students will be the week of August 17th, Transition Parent Letters will be distributed to let you know who your child’s teacher will be and which room your child will be moving to.
The last day of Summer Camp will be August 21st for our elementary children. They had a terrific summer of fun and creativity with Miss Katie. The children were engaged and busy each day despite the lack of outside field trips this summer.
Typically, in August we plan a “Back to School Night”, where parents visit their child’s new classrooms. However, with our safety precautions put into place, we will be creative this year and send out a slideshow displaying each classroom with teacher and highlights of the first week of school. Look for the link in your email very soon.
Water play days continue through the week of August 17th. We continue to ask for packed lunches, please no peanut or nut products in the lunches. We are continuing to wash nap items here at the school.
Thank you for aiding our school with our safety protocols and communicating with us at drop off and pick up. Please feel free to call into the school and talk with Miss Cassie or myself. Our emails are a great way to touch base as well. Cassie’s email is Casandra.behrens@chesterbrookacademy.com and my email is wendy.musser@chesterbrookacademy.com
Please reference our website Estelle.chesterbrookacademy.com for activity calendar, menu and newsletter for the month.
Thank you for trusting your children to us to nurture and teach as always!
Warmest Regards, Wendy
