We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities and classroom celebrations last month. Fall is one of our favorite times of the year! Thank you for allowing us to be part of the fun Fall activities with your children. This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with our community. We will be collecting Toys for our Toys for Tots program. Please feel free to bring a new toy to add to our Toys for Tots box. We will be collecting toys from November 9 through December 11.
We will also be celebrating our teachers this month as well. Due to the closure in April, we were unfortunately not able to celebrate the annual Teacher Appreciation Week. We will be spending the week of November 30 showing our teachers how grateful we are for them. One of the ways we will be expressing gratitude is by completing a Thankful Turkey. Families will receive a feather for their little one to draw a picture on or write why they are grateful for their teacher.
The gratitude and blessings will continue to our families as well. We will be creating something special for our families.

Illness Policy Reminder
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. Children may not attend school until they have been symptom free for 24 hours if they display any of the following:
Fever of 100.4 degrees of more—must be fever free for 24 hours with no fever-reducing medicine before returning to school
Vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset
Heavy nasal discharge requiring wiping every 3-5 minutes
Persistent, non-productive or barking cough
Sore throat
Skin rash, including diaper rash
Head lice
Symptoms of a communicable disease
Fussy, cranky behavior unlike child’s normal demeanor that may indicate illness
For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team.
Conferences
We will be having conferences during the week of November 16 and the week of November 23. Conferences will be by phone or zoom and will provide families with the opportunity to talk with teachers about their child’s Parent Report forms.
Thanksgiving Celebrations
Each of our classrooms will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a special lunch on November 19th at noon. Students are making their own placemats, hats and table décor for this fun event. We will be sharing plenty of photos through Links 2 Home as well!
Pajama Story times
As part of our initiative to support families in connecting with families while we are still having students dropped off and picked up outside, we will continue with pajama story times this month. Children will dress in their pj’s and join their teachers by zoom for a special story time.
