Wow, January has come and now gone! That was quick. February is a few days away, which means spring must be right around the corner. For now, we will still enjoy the very limited days of winter that we receive in Florida. Our new children are settling in and getting into the classroom routines. It’s been a joy to see your children hit milestones in their growth day in and day out. Your recommendations to neighbors and friends have always brought us wonderful families that become a part of our Chesterbrook family.
Re-Registration for the 21-22 school year have begun. If your child qualifies for VPK for the new school year, please turn in your VPK vouchers. The new rates have not been finalized but Full Time Wrap-around will be about $835.00 and Part-Time (9:00-3:00pm) will be $693.00. We had an overwhelming show of new families during our January Open House interested in VPK leaving limited space for the new school year. Discounted in-house re-registration for infants, toddlers, beginners and intermediate will begin March 2021.
By the last week of February, parents whose children have been with us since the beginning of the school year should expect to receive a parent progress report. This form of lead teacher communication will provide you with a detailed account of how your child is progressing in all areas of development. Assessments also assist teachers in adjusting the level of instruction to meet individual needs. If you are new to Chesterbrook Academy, the next parent report will be sent home in June, right before the summer curriculum begins.
I cannot believe I am saying this, but Pre-K Parents, we are in the beginning stages of planning for our 2021 Pre-Kindergarten graduation ceremony and I know you are anxiously waiting to hear when it will be. Even though Graduation will be via Zoom Conference this year, we want to ensure that it will be a memorable one for all. Traditionally, graduation preparation is a joint effort between teachers, students, parents, and the administration. We look forward to working closely with you and enjoying this special milestone in your child’s life. Pre-K graduation updates will follow.
