Dear Parents,
March is sure to be another busy month at Chesterbrook Academy. Spring is around the corner and teachers are busy planning a variety of fun seasonal activities that will help our students learn more about the many changes which occur in our environment during springtime.
Now this is the time to plan for next school year. Our Links to Learning curriculum is designed for a smooth transition as children move into the next stage of their academic journey. It is important to continue your child’s educational momentum by securing your child’s enrollment and we so excited to announced 95% of our current families re-enrolled with us for next school year. Thank you parents for entrusting your precious little ones to us another year!
After March 1st, 2021 the re-registration rate will be the normal fee of $140.00 per child. We will open registration to all of our families who were on our waiting list and families who have virtually toured our school.
Parents we would like to thank you for taking the time to join our monthly classroom zoom meetings with your child’s teacher in order to learn about classroom routines, curriculum and more.
We are excited to announce that we will continue with our annual Spring Hunt this year. Please save the date: Thursday, April 1st. We will start our collection of candy-filled eggs from March 8th through March 26th. We will be sending more details about classroom assignment to bring in the eggs.

CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY
Chesterbrook Academy , Hollywood-Florida celebrated Black History Month with teacher and student attire days that were a representation to the culture of Africa and African Americans. Students learned of varying facts pertaining to cultural practices and celebrations other than their own. Teachers and their students actively participated in the creative expression process of creating an exhibit in direct regard to the African American of their choice who has made contributions through their acts, service, and achievements to our country. Students took tours and not only saw visible evidence of each person honored in an exhibit, but also learned many facts about their lives and works through question asking and group discussions. This experience introduces and allows practice of many purposeful skills and continued enrichment to our students Science and Social Studies development: Identifies and appreciates differences in culture, traditions, custom of families.
