I want to first thank all the parents for donating to our annual Spring Egg Hunt, as well as parent volunteers that helped out in the distribution of the eggs around the school. We want to thank all the families that participated in our Community Outreach collection items for the organization Movers for Mom, where they help mothers in need to create a better life for themselves and their families. Your support is very much appreciated.
Teacher Appreciation Week is here!!! We are so excited to show our teachers appreciation during this week. Our theme for this year is “The World Need More Teachers Like You”. As part of this week events, the students we will be traveling around the world and will enjoy a fun and educational week learning about different places, cultures and traditions. Students may dress up (details in flyer) according to the places they will be visiting.
May is a very busy month in Early Education as preschools across the state start to prepare children for what’s next in their academic journey. Here at Chesterbrook Academy-Cooper City we are preparing to host our parent/teacher conferences and review parent reports. We finish the school year in review with our children and host our graduation ceremony to celebrate all of our Pre-K graduates moving into the next step of independence and development…Kindergarten! We are also still accepting new registrations for next school year. If you are interested, we invite you to schedule a tour today. Visit us during one of our events this month and or give us a call to learn more about our school.

WHAT OUR PRE-K STUDENTS ARE DOING:
Pre-K students at Chesterbrook Academy in Hollywood, Florida expressed themselves during an unconventional paint and music session while using their feet and toes to dance and create musical art. The students were able to move and recognizes changes in music tone, tempo, volume, and rhythms while painting using their feet. What amazing, learned experiences to demonstrates control of emotion!!

Kindergarten Enrichment
Give your child a jump-start to kindergarten by enrolling in our Kindergarten Enrichment program. We work on sharpening literacy and math skills, while also providing opportunities for your child to practice kindergarten etiquette through authentic play and collaborative learning. Students have a blast engaging in inquiry-based, hands-on activities that build upon foundational skills, such as science and engineering.

As a continuation of our Links to Learning curriculum, our summer camp offers a fun-filled program for children ages 5 to 10. Each week, preschoolers jump into action, participating in fun and exciting activities and special events. Our activity blocks are sprinkled throughout each week, giving campers fun and variety in their camp day.

Posted are “Weekly Skills,” “Lesson Plan,” “Daily Schedule,” “Monthly Spanish” and “Learning Outcomes.”
SICK POLICY – CDC GUIDELINES
BROWARD CBA STAFF AND FAMILIES
The purpose of our sick policy is to reduce the spread of illness among our students and to encourage full recuperation of sick children before they return to school. We depend on parents to assist us in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our children.
Children may be sent home if they have any concerning symptoms. Also, a child must be free of all of these symptoms for at least 24 hours before he/she can return to school. These symptoms include:
A fever of 100 degrees or more
Vomiting within the previous 24-hour period
Diarrhea within the previous 24-hour period
Symptoms of a communicable disease
Fussy, cranky behavior and not himself/ herself
Following an illness, a child may return to school once he/she has either been seen by a doctor or it has been determined that illness is not contagious (a doctor’s clearance may be requested). Please help us keep all of our children healthy by following these rules. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you for your support!
TUITION: Tuition is due the 1st business day of every month. Accounts not paid in full by 12:00 pm the fifth business day of every month will automatically receive a late fee of $30. If tuition is not paid in full by the 7th business day of each month, your child may not attend until the balance is paid in its entirety. Failure to comply with tuition policies will result in a notice of dis-enrollment. If you’d like to sign up for our ACH program, which automatically pulls your monthly tuition from the account of your choice the 1st business day of every month, just let us know, and we will help get you enrolled.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FEES: During this time, we will NOT BE HOSTING any enrichment classes.
We are PEANUT/NUT FREE. Please remember that due to the large number of students with peanut allergies, we are asking your help to keep the school peanut free.
