Dear Chesterbrook Academy Families,
It is crazy to think we have finished the first month of the School Year. Our classrooms have been working hard to get into their new routines, meet all of their new students, and create some amazing memories. As we continue on in our school year, we are excited to continue to see each child grow.
The month of October has a variety of activities planned as a school and in classrooms. I ask that you take the time to look at the Activity Calendar attached. We will continue to update families with sign ups, Tadpoles messages, and fliers as events get closer. We are also excited to be revamping our menu this month! Working with our vendor, Novick Corporations, we are excited to be looking at providing a new designed menu that we hope the children will love.
We are excited to be bringing in new Educational Materials to our classrooms each day. With a revamping to the Links to Learning Curriculum, we are receiving pieces everyday that we are training teachers on and starting to use. This month families will see a new Sign Language Program for our Infant room and new Spanish Program for our Beginners thru Pre-Kindergarten. We are excited to be introducing supplementary curriculum to our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms as well. These include Second Step – a Social-Emotional curriculum and Letter Buddies – a phonics and alphabet curriculum.
We will be posting sign ups for Pumpkin donations within the next week. The kids will participate in a pumpkin patch the last week of October, where they will get to pick a pumpkin to decorate and take home. Each classroom will also have the opportunity to decorate a pumpkin as a class that families will be able to vote on their favorite!
Finally, we want to send a huge thank you to all of our families for everything they do each day. Thank you for our support to the teachers each day, thank you for supporting your child each day, and thank you for entrusting in Chesterbrook Academy each day to take care of your child.
