Dear CBA Families,
We have had an amazing start to the New Year and we cannot wait to see all of the learning taking place this month. February is sure to be a busy month as we celebrate and learn about the importance of Black History Month, children’s dental hygiene, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day!
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Our students will learn about local and influential African Americans through books, learning experiences, and classroom discussions.
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14th. Children are invited to bring in valentines to share with their classmates and wear red or pink on that day. Please look for more information from your child’s teacher regarding their classroom’s specific activities for that day. On the 14th our students, two years old and up, will also have a visit from Lake Norman Pediatric Dentistry to learn all about the importance of Dental Health.
In an effort to keep our students as healthy as possible and to prevent the spread of germs, we need your assistance! Please make sure when you enter your child’s classroom that you assist them with washing their hands before you drop them off. As a reminder, if your child is showing any symptoms at all (fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) please keep them at home until they are symptom free for 24 hours and we recommend consulting your pediatrician to ensure they are no longer contagious. We appreciate your cooperation with this!
As a reminder, please check your child’s cubbies and daily reports each day for important information. If you do not have our app, please reach out to the administrative team so that we can help you get it set up. As always, we look forward to another month of love, laughter, and learning together!
Sincerely,
Kristie Salmon
