PTO

Throughout the year, we hold events and fundraisers in support of the students, teachers, and parents. Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) supports many aspects of these events and is a great asset to our school. Membership is free to all parents and is a great way to meet other families.

PAC meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from 6pm to 7pm. Pizza dinner and childcare are provided. During the meeting, we plan events, discuss volunteer opportunities, and review the results of each event. To learn more or to attend a meeting, please contact cbapacpresident@gmail.com.

Fundraising:

Below are just a few of the many fundraising events and activities that PAC will host during the school year to raise funds. You can find out more information about these events by attending the monthly meeting or sending an email to cbapacpresident@gmail.com.

Family Dining Nights Out
Bring your family out to enjoy a meal with other CBA families.  Past locations have included but are not limited to Applebee’s, Chick-Fil-A and Red Robin. The restaurant will donate a percentage of your order to PAC. There is also a $1 raffle wheel present and you have the chance to win a free milkshake (Red Robin) or chicken sandwich (Chick Fil-A). 100% of all raffle money collected is given to PAC.

Family Bingo & Raffle Night
This is the largest event and fundraiser of the year for PAC. Every child wins a Bingo prize! Each class will select a theme and create a classroom raffle basket. Parents, teachers, and businesses donate items for the raffle and/or silent auction. Raffle prizes in the past included Principal for the day, CBA tuition, and much more! The Silent Auction has featured Eagles, Phillies and tennis tickets, iPad Mini, and gym equipment.

Gently Used Uniform Sale
Come by the school and take advantage of the huge savings on your child’s uniform needs.  Purchases are on a first come, first serve basis and inventory moves quickly.  This is an ongoing event that will continue throughout the year.

Box Tops
Each Box Top coupon is worth 10 cents and they add up fast! Each month PAC will collect Box Tops and offer prizes for the individual or class that collects the most.  Prizes have ranged from a gift card to a classroom party. Learn how to earn cash for our school – www.btfe.com

Giant A+ Rewards
Each shopping trip at Giant using your BONUSCARD will earn CASH for CBA. Last year, parents raised approximately $1,000 just by using the Giant Bonuscard! This is a quick and easy way to support the school with minimal effort by you.

If you have not registered your card, you can register by logging onto www.giantfoodstores.com/aplus and designate Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School, ID # 06730 using your Giant BONUSCARD.

We raise funds, so we can give back!

As a direct result of your support of PAC, we are able to make purchases to improve the school and support events at the school. In the past PAC has purchased or supported the following:

  • A back-to-school gift card for each teacher to purchase additional supplies for their classroom
  • Additional iPads for use by the students at CBA
  • Instruments for the music department
  • Square foot gardens and plants
  • Assemblies for the students
  • Halloween dance party, snacks and experiments
  • St. Patty’s Day Dance
  • Annual Thanksgiving Feast

How do I become involved with PAC?

By volunteering just a few hours a month, or even a few hours in a school year, you can make a difference. The volunteers involved in the PTO are committed to making the best decision possible to benefit our children. Parent support and involvement is the key to our continued success!

There are a number of opportunities throughout the school year for you to volunteer:

  • Halloween scientist
  • Bingo raffle ticket sales
  • Bulletin board decorator
  • Uniform sales organizer
  • Box Tops coordinator
  • PAC Board member
