Ms. Dana Clemson - Second Grade Teacher

Welcome to second grade. My name is Dana Clemson. I have my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri. I have taught everything from toddlers to middle school science and  have been at CBA for 15+ years in a variety of roles. I love the feeling of family here. We are a close knit group of teachers and families and do our best to help each other in any way that we can.

I believe that every grade has its own special qualities, but what I enjoy most about second grade is the change from learning to read to reading to learn. I love teaching because I love watching that “a-ha” moment when a child masters a new concept.

My husband and I moved to Wake Forest 22 years ago from the St. Louis area after a brief detour through Wilmington. We have four sons (!) ranging in age from 12-22 and recently adopted a mastiff lab “baby,” who seems to be taking up a lot of our time. My hobbies include reading, baking, arts and crafts, and my boys’ activities.
