June News

Dear Parents,

We are will be soon celebrating graduation of our Pre K students and the success this group of students have had during their time they have had with us at Chesterbrook Academy.  Our students have been selected by many well known private and public schools where academics excellence is recognized.  Our graduates are well prepared for the next part of their education journey into Kindergarten.  Graduation will be held at 7 p.m. on June 17th in the gymnasium of our Birkdale Chesterbrook Academy campus located off Hwy 73 in Huntersville, NC.

With Pomp and Circumstances ending we will be full swing into a fun filled summer.  The June calendar was released and we are so excited to hear the compliments we are receiving about the camp programs.  For the first time we are offering a program for the rising Kindergarten students through 3rd grade.  A strong focus of STEM and week long projects have captured the attention of many.  Summer camp shirts will be given out the week of June 15th.

Camp hours are during our normal business hours.  We ask all children be present by 10 a.m. to ensure each child is able to participate fully in the activities planned.  Most in house events will begin by 9:30 a.m.  If you child will be attending, but running late you should call the school so we can ensure a lunch is counted for your child.  Children arriving after 11 a.m. will need to have lunch prior to attending school.

Summer time brings family vacations and stays with Grandparents.  We do not have a vacation credit at Chesterbrook Academy.  If you are going to be out of the school tuition will be charged and is due no later than the first day your child returns.

We are excited to share our fall programs have filled in most age groups.  We will soon be placing new families on waiting list pending an opening that may occur later in the year.  Thank you to all of you who have helped us grow by recommending our school to families.  While this is great news, it is important to remember that if you leave during the summer your Fall registration is paid to prevent loss of your child’s seat.  We cannot hold spaces without a paid registration.

June 19th we will host our 8th annual Father’s Day Root Beer float party.  We will serve our fathers and those who love our fathers at 3 p.m. Come out and join us for this special tradition!!!

Congratulations to our school for being selected as a Designated Breast Feeding Awareness School.  This grant was awarded to the school by the Mecklenburg County Health Department.  The school will complete 10 steps to show their willingness to support families who breast feed and to help others understand the importance of breast feeding.

Thank you,

Ms. Sheila

Principal
