Dear Chesterbrook Academy Families,
As usual, the last month has flown by and we are finding ourselves at the beginning of another fun month!
During February we have a few different areas of focus. We will explore special events such as Groundhog Day, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and Leap Year with a variety of fun activities that will teach us all about the history and customs of these special days.
A reminder that on February 15th, CBA is closed to students. On this day, our entire faculty gathers for in-service training so that we may continue to refresh our skills as educators.
Additionally, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day by having a Healthy Hearts Party on February 12th. Please speak to your classroom teacher for class specific information and plans – and please feel free to join in the celebrations!
Our teachers have been very busy preparing the Parent Reports for every child. The reports will be sent home on or before February 18th. Conferences will begin the following week. Again, sign up with your teachers individually. Although not required, parent/teacher conferences provide a great deal of insight into your child’s progress so far this school year.
Although it is barely the new year, we will soon begin to register our students for the 2016-2017 school year. Watch for additional information and timelines in the very near future!
