It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! We here at Chesterbrook Academy in Chadds Ford are so excited for the month of December! December is a time of traditions, celebrations, family and friends. Throughout the month students will be learning about all the holiday symbols, what a tradition is and sharing their own traditions with their classmates. Students will enjoy learning about the meaning of the holidays and embracing the concept of giving.
To help students learn what it means and feels like to give, we have adopted two families for the Christmas holiday through Pathways PA. Our family’s Christmas wishes are written on ornaments decorating the tree in our vestibule. If you would like to participate and share the feeling of giving with your child, simply take an ornament from the tree, purchase the item new, wrap the gift and place it under our tree. Gifts are due by Wednesday, December 11th and will be delivered to the Pathways PA office. Pathways will deliver the gifts to our adopted families who will get to have a wonderful Christmas thanks to you and your generosity.
Important dates to keep in mind for the month of December:
December 4th – National Sock Day – Wear your favorite silly socks
December 11th – Gifts for Adopt-a-Family Due
December 20th – Pajama Day – Wear your favorite holiday pajamas
December 24th – Chesterbrook will close at 3:00pm for Christmas Eve
December 25th – Chesterbrook will be closed in observation of Christmas
