The summer is in full swing!! We are enjoying our water play days. Please, remember to send your child dressed in their bathing suit, sunscreen applied, a towel, water shoes, and a change of clothes and a bag to take all of their wet items home in, all labeled on Fridays.
Thank you to all of you in helping us keep the spread of germs down. We appreciate your understanding in wearing your masks at drop off and pick up, waiting at the front for your child’s temperature to be taken, being patient at pick up while we get your child, keeping your child supplied with a mask, and packing your own lunches and snacks. This is a tough time for all of us and with your cooperation the children have adapted wonderfully and have taken everything in stride. We understand that you do not get to see your child’s teacher to ask questions about your child’s day or what’s going on in the classrooms. You can feel free to call at any time in order to speak with any of the teachers or a member of the office staff at any time to get information. We want you to feel as connected with the school as you did prior to the pandemic.
Don’t forget that the tuition increase will go into effect on June 29, 2020. The new rate sheets were sent out back when you re-registered. If you have any questions on what your child’s new rate is see the front office at any time. If you did not pay registration for the 2020-2021 school year, you will be receiving a letter. Your child will not be able to attend after July 10th if the registration fee is not paid before then.
We will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in honor of Independence Day.
This month’s Wacky Wednesday will be Pajama Day. We will be having Wacky Wednesday on Wednesday, July 15th.
Tuition is due on Friday before the week of attendance. If tuition is behind your child will not be permitted to attend. Late fees will be automatically applied to your account on Wednesdays of each week if you have a balance. Remember we accept cash, money order, check, auto-deduction at no extra cost to you and we do accept debit/credit cards with the VISA, MasterCard, and Discover logos but there is an additional 3% fee for using a card. WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS!!!!
Ice Cream Day will be every Friday throughout the summer. If you would like your child to have ice cream it’s $2 per child. You can pay in advance for the whole summer or pay each week. It’s a nice cool treat for the children to be able to cool off!!!
Remember if your child is going to be in VPK you will need to turn in your VPK certificate if you have not already done so. You can register by going to www.elcbroward.org. If you need any assistance in completing the application feel free to contact the office and we will help you in any way that we can.
Unfortunately, we are not offering any outside programs, or special events to come to the building at this time. That means no Dance, Amazing Athletes, Yoga, Soccer, or any of the special activities we do over the summer such as; career day, planetarium, magic show, petting zoo, fun fire truck, etc. We are doing our best in order to add additional fun activities for the children in class in addition to our learning curriculum.
With summer here and states beginning to ease restrictions, you might begin thinking about playdates for your child again. The CDC recommends families keep play groups small, practice social distancing, meet outdoors, and sanitize hands frequently. These recommendations, while practical, are not always easily implemented, especially with young children. Below[.....]

The purpose of our sick policy is to reduce the spread of illness among our students and to encourage full recuperation of sick children before they return to school. We depend on parents to assist us in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our children.
Sick Policy:

•Vomiting within the previous 24-hour period
•Diarrhea within the previous 24-hour period

Following an illness, a child may return to school once he/she has either been seen by a doctor or it has been determined that illness is not contagious. (A doctor’s clearance may be requested.) Please help us keep all of our children healthy by following these rules. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know. Thank you for your support!
