Dear Chesterbrook Parents,
Welcome to the Fall Session at Chesterbroook Academy! We are off to a fantastic start to the school year! We are thrilled to be working with your children and look forward to the amazing learning experiences that will occur this school year. Teachers have put into place procedures and routines that are enabling all students to thrive and learn. We have started teaching the Links to Learning curriculum and your child’s teacher will keep you updated on your child’s progress. The best way to communicate with your child’s teacher is through the Tadpoles/Links to Home app. If you need more information about this app let me know. You may or may not be aware that we have a program called Club Connect available here to support our school age students with their online learning programs. If you would like more information on Club Connect let me know.
Our theme next week is Superheroes. Our book of the week is Even Superheroes Have Bad Days by Shelly Becker. I will be going into classrooms to read this book to our students. Please see the September Activity Calendar for information on Spirit Days and other activities happening at our school. Just a reminder Chesterbrook Academy is closed on September 7th for Labor Day. We continue to implement our COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan which includes all staff and students 2 years of age and up wearing a face mask or face shield social distancing, hand washing for students and staff and cleaning and sanitizing classrooms and playground equipment. We are asking parents to wear masks at drop off and pick up as well. This keeps everyone safe!
Our hours of operation continue to be 7:30 am-5:30 pm. Beginning on September 8th we will resume our regular hours 6:30 am-6:00 pm. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the school (717) 392-5828. May the spirit of cooperation guide our communication this school year.
