Dear CBA Families,
We hope that everyone has been enjoying the beginning of the fall season. This month our students will be engaged in a variety of lessons focusing on the changing seasons, pumpkins, apples, fire safety and prevention. We cannot wait to see our students engaged in all of the exciting lessons that our teachers have planned for the month.
We are kicking off October with our Scholastic Book Fair the week of October 2nd. Throughout the month we will be wearing pink on Wednesdays to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Our classrooms will be having their fall parties on Friday, October 27th and we will be having a spirit week the week of October 30th. Please look for more information coming soon from your child’s teacher.
On Friday, October 20th we will be hosting our annual Fall Festival from 5-7 p.m. at our school. There will be activities, games, food, and Trunk or Treating. We will be putting a sign-up sheet at the front desk for those of you who wish to decorate their trunk for the Trunk or Treat. If you wish to donate candy or treats, please drop off donations in the office. As a reminder, everything must be peanut free.
With the change of season, this is a perfect time to take a moment to look through your child’s cubby and make sure that they have at least two weather appropriate changes of clothes. Also, rest items should be taken home weekly to be washed and returned on Mondays. We also know that this is a time when our students tend to get sick more often. As a reminder, if your child is sent home sick, they must remain out of school for 24 hours symptom free without medication.
We look forward to another amazing month and we appreciate all of the love and support that we receive daily from our families!
