Dear Families,
Happy April! This month, we are looking forward to discovering all the changes spring brings forth. This season provides a great opportunity for children to learn and grow as they discover new things in their environment. Our teachers are planning lots of fun outdoor adventures, and are also excited to celebrate Week of the Young Child next week, and Earth Day on April 22. Please view the attached calendar and flyer, the menu will be sent tomorrow morning.
We want to send a huge thank you to everyone that brought in treats and/or participated in our Easter Egg Hunt on Friday. We also want to thank everyone for participating in our Read Across America contest during the month of March. Ms. Amanda was successfully a human sundae on Friday and we look forward to sharing photos shortly!
Family Survey Reminder
Our enrolled family survey launched in March. If you have not received the email, please let us know so we can request it be resent. The survey provides the opportunity for you to share your positive experiences within our school community and give feedback on our areas of opportunity confidentially. Please take a just a few moments to complete the survey before it closes on April 5th.
Open House & Family Referral Bonus
Our next Open House is on April 27th, so don’t forget about our referral bonus! When you refer a friend and they enroll, you are eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for details!
Week of the Young Child
We will be celebrating Week of the Young Child from April 8-12, which is next week! This week recognizes young students, their teachers, and their families for all their hard work. This annual event, sponsored by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), allows us to showcase the importance of early childhood education, our Links to Learning curriculum, and everyone who makes it possible. We have many fun activities planned for Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. Please review the attached flyer for the full schedule of events.
Earth Day
Earth Day is on Monday, April 22nd and we will be celebrating at 10am, all are welcome! Our school will be releasing ladybugs, watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies, planting flowers, starting our garden, and many more “creature” adventures. We also invite families to bring in rinsed recycled materials the week of 4/15-4/19 and all of our classrooms will also be creating recycled robots. Be sure to wear your red Earth Day t-shirts, or wear red on Monday, 4/22!
Soccer Shots
Our Spring Session of Soccer Shots will begin this week. If you are interested in your child attending, ages two and up, please complete the online registration: http://baltwash.soccershots.com/pd/7408/?code=a1QbgPeTKY
