April News 2020

Dear Families,

This is a different type of newsletter than I usually write for the month of April.  We are usually planning for our Earth Day celebrations, watching caterpillars turn into butterflies and releasing ladybugs into our playground environment. Instead, I  write with worry about the stability of families we serve and the children who are missing out on their school routine and friendships.  This is a time in history that we never would have imagined to experience no matter what age we are.  Although we miss each and every family, please stay home and stay safe.

We are grateful for our families that continue to entrust in our Distance Learning programming and keep in touch with us.  We love to hear and see the many pictures that have been sent. It warms my heart and also brings a tear to my eye when I see those smiling faces.  For me and the staff of Estelle Drive, we have an emptiness in our hearts without seeing the children each day to love and teach them.  This has become a new normal for most, however with that said as long as we arrive healthy at the end of this terrible chapter of life, we can resume our “old normal” soon.

Parents please continue to communicate with us whether or not you are still enrolled with us or have dis-enrolled.  We cannot wait to see everyone back at school as soon as it is safely possible.

Warmest Regards,

Wendy A. Musser, Principal
