July News

A Message from the Principal:

Summer is off to a great start and everyone is having so much fun already. We have even more exciting events this month! Please take a look at our July newsletter here. Also please keep in mind, if you change what type of sunscreen or bug spray your child uses during the summer,  please bring in a new authorization form.

We would like to thank you for your participation in our community outreach project for the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. We have collected many donations and we will be delivering the items next week. Our Pre-K classroom has won the ice cream party for the most donations collected. Thank you again for all of your support!

A special event Chesterbrook is hosting during the month of July is benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. We will be collecting donations that will all go directly to the hospital to support further research and treatment. In school, students will be learning all about bike safety and celebrating on July 10th with a Trike-a-Thon. Parents are asked to help their children bring their bikes or trikes and helmets to school (fully labeled please) on Friday, July 10th for our Trike-a-Thon at 10:30am. All families are welcome to participate as well.

Due to all of your support, we are excited to announce that we will be getting a much needed parking lot makeover within the next few weeks. All work should be completed over a weekend and should not interfere with parking during school hours. We will notify all families when work is scheduled to be done.

Important Dates:

  • Friday, July 3rd: CLOSED for Independence Day
  • Water days are every Thursday.
  • Funtastic Fitness: every other Monday.
  • In House Shows: every other Wednesday.
