June Newsletter
Happy June! May I start by saying congratulations to our Pre-Students who will be graduating on Friday, June 5th, at 4 PM? Parents, siblings and grandparents are welcome to attend. There will be some seating and also standing room for the ceremony. The graduation will be held in Miss Lauren’s Room, refreshments will be served in the lobby directly following.
The first day of summer camp is Monday, June 8th; we are looking forward to a full summer filled with many fun adventures. The camp field trip calendar will be released soon. Our camp teachers for the summer will be Miss Deanne, Mr. Derek, Miss Tracy, Miss Ralna; with an occasional helper from other current staff as needed.
We welcome Mr. Derek back to Estelle Drive. He is studying Elementary Education and is excited to be working with our camp program this summer. Mid June we also welcome three other staff from our Lititz Chesterbrook Academy; Miss Stephanie, Miss Ralna and Miss Jenine. Miss Stephanie and Miss Jenine will be working with our Toddler program and Miss Ralna will be assisting with our campers. Miss Barb will be teaching our Pre-kindergarten program for the summer and in the fall will teach our Kindergarten Enrichment class. I assure you that our programming will continue to remain at the highest fidelity and the best of care and nurturing of your children. Won’t you please help me welcome our new staff into our Estelle Drive family?
The activity calendar and menu for June are complete and posted to the website. Extra copies of both can be found in the entrance way by our monthly board. The camp board is also posted in the entrance way, as soon as all field trips are confirmed I will post a copy of the calendar there for convenience.
A few dates to keep in mind:
Wednesday, June 3rd in the afternoon, we can share a quick ice cream treat as we can say farewell to a few of our girls and boys who will be leaving us for the summer, but also who will be moving up and away from Chesterbrook Academy.

Wednesday, June 10 Beach Day wear “Beach Attire”
Monday, June 15 Honor Flag Day by wearing Red, White, and Blue
Friday, June 19 Celebrate Father’s Day with Donuts for Dad on this morning from 7 -9 AM

Water Days are posted near the parent mailboxes; as well as our temperature board and daily weather. During the summer months we keep vigil on how high temperatures become and the air quality. We will post green, yellow or red days to alert staff whether or not it is safe to take the children outside.
On behalf of the staff and me, we wish everyone a great summer and say how much we will miss our friends who will be leaving. Best wishes!
