November News
November is a time to be thankful for all the blessings in our lives! We here at Chesterbrook are very thankful for our children and families that we serve each and every day. Although it may seem like there has been numerous updates and emails being sent lately from the office; we truly believe in keeping our families updated on the latest fun days, special events, curriculum updates, employee updates and other very important information. Since the busy holiday seasons in November and December are approaching quickly, we would like to give back a small portion to our local community. Starting November 16th to November 30th, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Each classroom will have designated boxes in the front of the school to place items; the class that collects the most food will win a prize (TBD).
Please check our website and the lobby parent board for all November Activities, Menu and other items. Here are a few highlights to place on your calendar:
*November 7th, Fall Open House, Clifford Visit from 11-12 noon
*November 11th, Chesterbrook is Closed for Staff Professional Development Day
*November 12th, Veteran’s Day Celebration 10 AM
*November 17th, Family Holiday Portrait Night 4:30 to 8:30 PM Make Reservations!
*November 20th, Family Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast starting at 7 AM to 9 AM
*November 23rd, Children’s Thanksgiving Lunch
*November 26th, Happy Thanksgiving, Enjoy the Day with Your Families!
WE ARE OPEN Black Friday! Please let your child’s teacher know if planning on attending on this day!
If you have not signed up for a Parent Teacher Conference on the door next to our lobby counter, please do so. This is an opportunity to see the growth that your child had been making since the start of our academic year. Phone and Face to Face conferences are available.
Your children may be chatting about folks who came to our school to do a small gymnastics demonstration. The Fusion Gymnastics folks came to show us what they can offer our school in terms of a gymnastics program here at Chesterbrook. If we have enough parents interested, we could possibly begin a program in January 2016. The sessions would run 8 weeks and cost $80.00 for the 8 week session. Please let Miss Lauren or I know if interested.
