Dear Estelle Drive Families,
Back to school is almost upon us, many of our families who have taken the summer off will be returning in the next two to three weeks. Our preschool will be “Hooting” with much excitement as we prepare for our academic year which will be the week of September 5th, right after the Labor Day Holiday. Transition week into children’s new classrooms will occur the week of August 29th. There will be many new student faces in our building as well. Our school is slowly showing signs of our Back to School Theme: “Look Whoo’s Here at CBA!” Watch for more exciting “Owl” changes coming soon! Please mark your calendars to attend our Back to School Night from 6-7 pm on Wednesday, September 7th. Come and visit your child’s classroom and chat with the teachers.
Summer camp will wrap up its programming on Wednesday, August 24th; as the Hempfield School District will re-open on Thursday, August 25th for the new school year. We will be saying good bye to some of our campers and invite you to please come back next year to spend the summer with us again! Camper parents please remember to complete the Camp Surveys that are sent in to your email by our marketing department. We would love to hear what we can do better for next year!
Speaking of saying good-bye; it saddens me to share that a few of our beloved staff members have decided to move on from Chesterbrook and pursue other interests. They all have enjoyed their time with us and will miss the children very much. We will miss them as well. Miss Holly and Mr. Matt will be leaving this week to other endeavors. Miss Jessica will be moving on to teach in the Lancaster City School District, best wishes in her teaching career.
There will of course be new staff face in the next few weeks; I have three new staff in the hiring process and a few more interviews this week to consider as well. I will share new teacher’s names and positions, as well as other staff and room changes as soon as I solidify the new hires and start dates. Thank you for patience in this matter; your children are my highest priority.
If there are any questions, please see me in the office, call or email. I would be happy to chat with you.
Warmest Regards,
Wendy Musser, Principal
