Happy New Year 2017!
Looking back at this past year, we have accomplished many things! The biggest accomplishment is the installation of our beautiful new playground and landscaping at our school. The children have enjoyed playing and experiencing the new equipment with very broad smiles. We have grown the number of children in our building, added new staff and earned our STAR 2 rating along with a grant to improve our classroom environment and learning materials for the children.
Looking ahead to 2017, Estelle Drive Chesterbrook Academy plans to move to a STAR 3 with the PA Keystone Stars organization. Two of our staff will also complete their Child Development Certification. Our goals are always set on introducing and teaching exciting new skills through our curriculum to our children and serving our families better. This leads to a reminder about our Parent Survey coming out the first week of January in 2017. Please take a few moments to respond and let us know how we are doing. Your feedback is most important to help us to continue to grow just as we have this past year.
New Year, new classrooms, new staff! During the first week of January there will be some transitioning of children to the next classroom, as well as some different staff working in the Toddler Room and the Beginner Room. If your child is transitioning to the next room, a personal letter will be delivered to you. If there are any questions, please see Miss Wendy. We are still searching for an Assistant Principal for our school. We hope to have someone in place by the end of January.
Please check out our January Activity Calendar for upcoming events for more exciting activities happening at Estelle Drive. Our menu is posted there as well. A reminder with the colder and snowy weather coming, please check our website, your email and also WGAL Weather Closings to monitor if our preschool would have a delay or closing.
Fusion Gymnastics will be held again starting on January 11th. If you are interested in registering your child for this activity, please see Miss Wendy. The cost is $80.00 for an eight week session.
Please remember that tuition is due each Friday, you pay on a Friday for the week ahead. If any parent would like to sign up for our convenient Auto-Withdraw, please see Miss Wendy for a form. We also accept credit cards as payment as well, if you are interested in this form of payment, please see Miss Wendy in the office.
Thank you for all of the wonderful holiday treats and gifts bestowed on us in December. We are very blessed to work with our loving and caring families.
Wishes for a Warm and Bright New Year,
Wendy Musser, Principal
“Sophia took my doll!” “She’s being loud!” “She knocked over my block tower!” Does this sound familiar?
