March News 2017
Welcome Spring of 2017! It looks like the ground hog was wrong this year, warmer weather is upon us early. March is always a very fun and interactive month here at Estelle Drive. We start out the month by celebrating Literacy and Reading with one of the most well-known children’s author of our time, Mr. Theodore Geissel, aka: Dr. Seuss. We will celebrate his birthday by reading some of his famous books and having a Dr. Seuss lunch of Ham and Green Beans.
A few other reminders:
*Check out our menu and activity calendar on the website and our lobby parent board
*Daylight Savings begins on March 11th, Spring Ahead!
*Continue to bring in boots or play shoes for your child to play outdoors, the ground is thawing and a bit wet
*Soccer Shots 10 week season begins on March 16th, registration forms are coming soon
We want to thank everyone who completed our Parent Surveys this past January. We have read the results and the positive responses are overwhelming. We thank you for choosing Chesterbrook Academy Estelle drive for the teaching and care of your children. We strive to provide the best care and communication possible. My office is always open for conversation or questions about your child’s day.
Welcome back Miss Cindy, we missed you, we look forward to seeing her friendly face once again.
Welcome to Ms. Tara Jones, our new toddler teacher, we are excited that she is part of our Chesterbrook Family.
Last but not least, we would like to share that our school has officially earned our STAR 3 rating through the Pennsylvania Keystone Stars program. What does this mean? This means we have accomplished to provide and maintain fidelity in the areas of curriculum, classroom environments, safety and communication with families and teachers. In the next few weeks new products and furnishings will arrive by means of a grant that we have earned.
Thank you to all of our families for allowing us to care, teach and love your children each and everyday.
Warmest Regards,
Wendy Musser, Principal
