Hello Chesterbrook Families,
We are so thankful for our families and staff and cannot wait to spend the month ahead sharing and celebrating with each of you. Thank you to all who participated in our Halloween activities last month and for allowing us to share in this fun tradition with you and your children. Please make sure you join us for all of the fun family connection activities we have planned this month.

Classroom Thanksgiving Celebrations
Our family style lunch setting helps students learn table manners, teamwork and patience. We’ve been working especially hard on these things in advance of our classroom Thanksgiving lunches on Monday, November 20th. Each student will be celebrating their accomplishments this school year so far and sharing what makes them feel grateful. Thanksgiving lunches will be at the regular lunchtime in each classroom. Parents are welcome to attend but we will be sharing lots of photos on Links 2 Home to ensure no one misses out.
Thanksgiving Week
School-age children are invited to join us for fall break camp the week of November 20th. We have special activities scheduled for each day and the week will culminate with a special PJ and movie day on Friday, November 24th. Please sign up at the front desk to attend school Friday, November 24th so that we can staff appropriately!
We are closed on Thursday, November 23rd so our teachers can celebrate Thanksgiving with their families.
Holiday Giving
We have partnered again with Tree House Books and would like everyone to bring in used and new books for adult and child-aged and any new art supplies to be donated to this honorable organization through January 2018.
Safety Reminder
With the holidays approaching it is not uncommon for visiting family members to stop in to pick-up students as a surprise. While we always love meeting our students grandparents, aunts, uncles, and siblings we do want to remind you all that anyone picking up a student must be listed as an authorized pick-up or we must be notified in advance. Visitors that are new to our school and not accompanied by a parent are expected to show a government issued photo ID.
