October Newsletter

Crisp nights, great playground days, and pumpkins all around can only mean it’s October!  We can’t wait to experience everything the fall season has to offer.  Many teachers have done amazing scavenger hunts, science experiments with pumpkins, and many other hands-on learning opportunities with much more to come.  Fall weather can surely be unpredictable so be sure that your child has seasonal, appropriate sized clothing in his/her cubbie.  Jackets are important as well because we don’t want to miss any outside fun.

We are off to a great 2018-2019 school year.  We already have our picture days behind us, our first fund raiser, and two great opportunities which you shared donations of food and diapers.  I am so grateful for our families and students at our school.

This month, we have many new teachers joining our existing crew.  Be sure to introduce yourself to new teachers and ask them to do the same.

In October, we kick off our Little Caesars Pizza Kit program.  Stay tuned for order forms. This one is another Chesterbrook Academy favorite with many tasty treats to choose.

Mark your calendar for our Halloween parade on October 31.  We will have parents join us at 3:00 p.m. with many fun events conducted by our teachers leading up to the big day.  In addition, please mark your calendar for Monday, November 12 for school closure.  This is our semi-annual staff development day and school is closed.

Wishing you a great fall season!
