With the winter season upon us, we wanted to inform you of our Emergency Closing policies. In the event that Chesterbrook Academy will close, have a delayed start, or close early due to weather, we wanted to remind you of different venues to check before you trudge out in the snow!
- Check your email: We will send out a winter weather information email via Tadpoles.
- Check your phone: We will send out a winter weather information text via Tadpoles.
- Check our school website (www.UIUC.ChesterbrookAcademy.com: We will post a winter weather banner on our main page.
Chesterbrook Academy will be CLOSED on Monday, February 15th, for Teacher In-Service Training.
2020 Tax Statements are available. You can get this from the parent portal, Alma, at https://nlci40.getalma.com/. If you need help logging in, email Randi or Kristin and we can get your account re-set.
Links 2 Home
If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type ‘Links 2 Home’ in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading Links 2 Home you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school. You can utilize the Instant Messaging to communicate directly with administration and classroom teachers.
Snow Volcano
Materials
- 2 spoonfuls of baking soda
- 1 spoonful dish soap
- a few drops of food coloring
- 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar
- snow
- small container/cup
Instructions
- Take the container/cup and place it on the ground.
- Build up snow around the cup and pack it tightly. Keeping the opening of the cup free of snow.
- Add the baking soda, dish soap, and food coloring to the cup.
- Pour in the vinegar when you are ready for your volcano to erupt.
- Stand back and enjoy!
