A Note from Our Principals
Dear Families,
April was full of meaningful moments, from celebrating the magic of early childhood during Week of the Young Child to helping our students discover how they can help care for our planet on Earth Day. We’re proud to nurture young changemakers and empower them to make a difference! As we look ahead to May, we’re excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and all the wonderful mother figures in our community.

Teacher Appreciation Week
May 4 – 8 is Teacher Appreciation Week – the perfect time to celebrate our amazing teachers and share our gratitude for the care, inspiration, and encouragement they provide our students each day. They shape the heart of our school community, and we are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented team! At the front there is a book with all the teacher’s favorite things. If you would like to participate in our themed days they are:
Monday May 4th– Breakfast Celebration sign up to bring in a breakfast item for the potluck.
Tuesday May 5th– Gratitude Day, give your teacher a flower and a card to show your appreciation
Wednesday May 6th – Gift of Appreciation, bring a gift of your choice for your teacher
Thursday May 7th – Treats and Sweets Day, bring your teacher their favorite sweet treat.
Friday May 8th – Appreciation Lunch, Teachers will get a catered lunch, money can be given to the office towards this if you would like to participate.
School-Age Summer Camp
Time is running out! Save your spot now for our School Age Summer Camp program. There is nothing that compares to watching your child’s confidence grow and seeing them have fun and make friends. By enrolling, you’re giving them a summer they’ll never forget. Please contact us to learn more.
Mother’s Day Luau
We will be celebrating Mother’s Day from 4-5pm on Friday May 8th, this will be an event where you will attend with your child. Sign up in the office to attend.
Preschool Graduation
What a journey it’s been! We are so proud of our Pre-K students for all they’ve accomplished and how much they’ve grown at Chesterbrook Academy. Please join us as we celebrate their time with us on May 15th at 5pm and their bright futures ahead. We will be having the celebration on the Pre-K Playground. Please feel free to bring camping chairs to sit in during the ceremony. We will be having a little sweet treat.
Kindergarten Enrichment
Our Kindergarten Enrichment summer program, specifically designed for rising kindergarteners, provides the best of both worlds – preparation for success in kindergarten + summer camp fun! Share this special program with your friends and family!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher conferences will be held May 19th and 20th. Sign ups will be posted outside the classroom the week before.
Summer Camp Fee
Summer Camp fees will be charged out on May 12th to your account, and auto pay will be processed on the May 19th.
Family Referral Bonus
Do you know a colleague who has recently had a baby, a friend in need of care who just relocated to the area, or a family member who is seeking a new preschool for their child? When you refer a friend and they enroll, you’re eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for details!
