November Newsletter
A Note from Our Principals
November is a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the people who make our school community special. This month, we are focusing on gratitude and the special connections we share with our families. Our students will participate in activities that celebrate kindness, giving back, and appreciating the people and community around them.
We are so thankful for each of our families and for the trust you place in us. We look forward to another month of learning and meaningful connections!
Sincerely,
Allie and Pia
Holiday Giving
Our annual Holiday Giving initiative is a way for students to spread cheer this holiday season while developing an appreciation for what they have, showing gratitude to others, and seeing the positive impact of their actions. We are doing a food drive with Loaves and Fishes to help those in need during the holidays. Our food drive will go from November 2nd to November 13th. You can bring in goods from the pantry’s most needed items list, OR you can donate virtually. Go to the website below and you can choose to donate items online.

Thank you in advance for your partnership and generosity.
To help encourage our classrooms to help the community the classroom that raises the most will win a pizza and ice cream party. We will be using paper turkeys on the classroom windows to show you their current totals. Each item that is brought in from the most needed list is worth 1 turkey, if you donate online via the website, the items on the site are worth three turkeys each, and the holiday meal is worth 20 turkeys.
Thanksgiving CelebrationsThis year we would like to celebrate Thanksgiving a little differently in our school. We know that many different families eat different foods during Thanksgiving. We would like the opportunity to for our families to get together and try different dishes that are traditional during your Thanksgiving. On Thursday November 19th at 6pm we invite you to join us for a Thanksgiving Dinner. At the front is the sign up sheet where you can sign up to bring a dish from your family.
Holiday Magic Tree Trim
On Sunday November 8th at 10 am Chesterbrook will be at Brookfield Zoo decorating a community tree. We would love to have you join us there. If you have a membership you can get in for free. If you would like to come but are not a member the cost is $10 a person. You can buy the tickets on their site under additional tree trim tickets. We still have 6 tickets available for families who are interested in getting in free.
We would love for you to also bring in a homemade ornament by Thursday November 5th. We sent home with all children last week environmental friendly homemade ornaments to make and bring in.
Family SurveyA sincere thank you to everyone who completed our Family Survey! Your feedback is valuable to us as it helps us understand what’s working well and where we can continue to grow to better support your family. If you would still like to participate, the survey is open until November 20, 2026.
