A new month has arrived and the meteorologists are predicting yet another possible winter storm just in time for March to live up to its reputation….”in like a lion, and out like a lamb!” Let’s hope that the latter is also true! Although, most of our families are now well aware, but as a reminder, we broadcast our school delay and closing information on channel 6 ABC. We are “LEAPING” into March this year! First, we will be celebrating the wonderful works of Dr. Seuss during the first week of March. We will then turn our focus to Signs of Spring, and more school spirit on St. Patrick’s Day with some Leprechaun Fun! March is a busy month, so please be sure to read on for details of all school happenings and information that will be coming home.
We are now in our 30-day window for our annual state licensing. We will continue to circle around with families for any outstanding paperwork that may need to be updated. Please check your child’s mailbox daily for communications and paperwork being sent home. It is imperative that we maintain our records to ensure we not only meet but exceed the state requirements. Thank you to all of our families for their cooperation!

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me or your child’s teacher. We are excited to continue to work closely with you as we customize and enhance your child’s Pre-K experience at our school.
Over the next month, we will be focusing our efforts on our Middle States Re-accreditation visit scheduled for the week of April 25th-29th. This is school-wide community effort and we will be asking our families to help support us as direct stakeholders in our school community to gather data as part of our self-study and improvement process. Stay tuned for further details to be shared in the upcoming week. We appreciate and value your input and involvement so that we may continue to serve our students, families, and staff better. Please note that we will need parent volunteers to help support our re-accreditation. Details will be sent out in a separate communication.
Last, but certainly not least, I am excited and pleased to announce that our school’s Teacher of the Year award has been selected for this district-wide honor, and this year’s winner is Ms. Gina! Ms. Gina received our Teacher of the Year honors and was recognized during our bi-annual inservice day on February 15th, along with fellow nominees from nine of our sister schools. Please join us in congratulating Gina on this wonderful honor and achievement!
