Dear Chesterbrook Parents and Staff,
We leave April with showers, and enter May looking forward to those blooming flowers and warm, sunny days! April buzzed by with many exciting events with our Ladybug Release and Earth Day festivities, our Week of the Young Child Celebrations and Spring Book Fair, before wrapping up the month with our school’s much anticipated Spring Hat Parade. Many thanks to all of our teachers and families for their support of our efforts both in and out of the classroom to provide our students and their families with rewarding opportunities. We strive to be a school of excellence and it would not be possible without the help and support of our school community.
We are in the home stretch of the 2016-2017 school year, and we have a busy 6 weeks ahead of us before we move onto our Summer Camp program, so be sure to refer to the Calendar and Upcoming Events (listed below). Mark your calendars now for our annual Spring Concert on Friday, June 2nd. (More details to follow in the weeks ahead.)
Soccer Shots is back with Coach Bass! The Spring Session began on Thursday, March 30th and will run through Thursday, May 25th. We have 4 full sessions and the kids are having a blast!
Calling all moms! Please join us for Muffins With Mom during morning drop-off on Friday, May 12th. Please RSVP to your child’s teachers if you plan to join your child. We realize our moms (and dads) are busy, and as such, we will have the refreshments set-up for you to help yourself during morning drop-off to spend a few moments with your child(ren) before you head out for the day.
Lastly, during the month of May we celebrate and recognize our teachers for all that they do to support our students and school. Please join me in thanking our teachers for providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children can grow and learn safely and happily.
As a reminder, our school will be closed on Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day.
Yours in Education,
Jenell Hilton
