Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Home / For Parents / PAC Welcome to the PAC Welcome! We are the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). Throughout the year, Chesterbrook Academy West Chester holds events and fundraisers in support of the students, teachers, and parents. We support many aspects of these events and are a great asset to our school. Membership is free to all parents and involvement is a great way to meet other families in our community! Our mission is to support families, foster a sense of community, appreciate our dedicated teachers, and provide additional student programs. PAC meetings are held monthly on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm, via Zoom. During the meeting, we plan events, discuss volunteer opportunities, and review the results of prior events. Below are just a few of the many fundraising events and activities that the PAC hosts during the school year. Past locations have included Applebee’s, Chick-Fil-A, Red Robin, Ram’s Head, and more! Each of these restaurants donate a percentage of your order back to the PAC. “Mane” Event This is our largest event and fundraiser of the year and every child wins a prize! Each class selects a theme and creates a classroom raffle basket. Parents, teachers, and businesses donate items for the raffle and/or silent auction. Raffle prizes in the past have included being Principal for the day, Lego baskets, and gift cards. The Silent Auction has featured sports tickets, an iPad Mini, gym equipment, an island vacation, and much more. New-To-You Uniform Sale Come by the school and take advantage of huge savings on your child’s uniform needs. Purchases are on a first come, first serve basis. Inventory moves quickly. This is an ongoing event that will continue throughout the year. We Raise Funds, So We Can Give Back! As a direct result of your support of the PAC, we are able to make purchases to improve the school and support events at the school. In the past, the PAC has purchased or supported the following: A back-to-school gift card for each teacher to purchase supplies for their classrooms Additional iPads for our students to use Instruments for the music department Gardens and plants A beautiful greenhouse Assemblies for the students Halloween dance A holiday gift for the teachers and faculty Outdoor classroom structures Water dispensers Outdoor basketball nets Kiln for the art program Coming soon! New backboards for the gym! How Do I Become Involved With the PAC?By volunteering for just a few hours a month, or even a few hours in a school year, you can make a difference. PAC volunteers are committed to making the best decisions possible to benefit our children. Parent support and involvement is the key to our continued success! There are a number of opportunities throughout the school year for you to volunteer including Halloween decorator, Spring Fling raffle ticket sales, uniform sales assistance, Box Tops coordinator, PAC Board member, and more.
